Hair loss, in the present times is more commonly associated to men as it is only in them that the deficiency of hair is motre noticeable. However, it is wrong to assume that women do not suffer from hair loss. But the loss of hair in women is less evident because of its reduced severity in them.

Women Hair Loss

Also the pattern of hair loss in women is different from that in men. Women lose hair in an even manner while men have hair loss in the form of spots all over their scalp. The underlying causes of hair loss in women are as follows :-

? The most common cause of balding in women is termed as ‘Female-Pattern Baldness’. It basically occurs as a result of the increased presence of the hormone Dihyrdrotestesterone similar to in men. It prevents the nutritioning of hair follicles by binding to them and preventing blood supply.

? Another important cause is associated with excess stress in women. As it is already known that women are prone to severe hormonal changes, stress induces in them an imbalance of hormones which further leads to hair thinning and eventually hair loss.

? Lastly, immune system deficiencies are also said to cause loss of hair in women. But there is not enough evidence to substantiate this theory.
